Here the entire family can plant their feet in the hallways and buildings where the War of the Alamo was fought. Visit the museum to learn more about the battle and to gain a deeper understanding of its importance.
For other fun landmarks and scenic places to take the family, consider visiting El Mercado, the Aztec Theater, Sea World, the River Walk, and of course, the Children’s Museum!

While vacationing in San Antonio, you’ll want to be aware that during the summer months, heat and humidity can be at year high levels. This means that by the end of your day of excursions and family fun, you’ll want to be able to go home to a family-friendly hotel that allows for proper rest and relaxation. Don’t plan to stay at a run-down hotel with constant air conditioning repair issues and other internal problems that will take away from your vacation experience.
